Miracle gro fertilizer
Miracle gro fertilizer is the secret ingredient to make many gardeners look like Mother Nature's best friend. It makes all types of plants grow, whether you use it on trees, shrubs, grass, flowers, vegetables or even house plants.
It's an all purpose food for every type of gardener from the person that lives for gardening to the beginner. Miracle-Gro increases the size of your plants and doesn't really require a lot of extra effort to use.
Miracle gro fertilizer Ingredients
The composition of Miracle Gro provides many of the necessary minerals and nutrients your plants need for increased size. It contains ammonium phosphate, urea, boric acid, potassium chloride, copper sulfate, magnesium EDTA, iron EDTA, urea phosphate, sodium molybdate and zinc sulfate.
Composition of Miracle-Gro All-Purpose Plant Food
The plant food is 15 percent nitrogen from the ammonium nitrogen and urea nitrogen. It also contains 30 percent phosphate. The available boron is only .02 percent, soluble potash is 15 percent and copper is .07 percent. The last four minerals iron, manganese, molybdenum and zinc are .15 percent, .05 percent, .00005 percent and .06 percent in that order.
How to Use Miracle-Gro
There are two methods of application for this plant food. You can purchase a Miracle-Gro feeder, available everywhere Miracle-Gro sells, or simply use a watering can with a premixed application. Some people also sprinkle the Miracle-Gro on the soil and allow the rain and watering to transport the mixture to the roots of the plant.
If you use the feeder, you attach it to your garden hose. The feeder uses liquid Miracle-Gro. Insert the liquafeed refill bottle into the feeder you attached to the hose. Then spray away. You spray it right on the leaves according to the Miracle-Gro site and instantly feed your plants while you water.
If you decide to select applying the fertilizer with a watering can, there are premeasured packets for that task. It's as easy as tearing open a packet and adding water.
You use one premeasured packet for every gallon of water you mix with it if you're putting it on outdoor plants. For those plants you keep in the house, you double the amount of Miracle-Gro and use two packets per gallon.
Organic vs. Inorganic
Some people don't want to use Miracle Gro fertilizer on their plants because it contains chemicals. To solve that marketing dilemma, Scotts, the company that manufactures Miracle-Gro added another product to their long line of products. They added Miracle-Gro Organic Choice.Unlike the in original Miracle-Gro, you add Miracle-Gro Organic Choice to the soil before you plant, not after you've set your plants. It has both immediate benefits and a slow release nutrient.
Potting Soil and Other Organic Products
Organic Choice comes in liquid form. You'll find other products such as Miracle-Gro Organic Choice potting soil, Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Bone Meal and Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Blood Meal to provide for all the needs of the organic gardener.
Despite the popularity of organic gardening, many people still use the inoriginal form of Miracle-Gro to give their plants that much needed boost.
